Musicians Going Green

Biodiesel by Greg Pahl

Apparently, there is a move towards incorporating some form of sustainability during live tours. The most known ones are those who, like Willy Nelson, use biodiesel to get around. Pearl Jam, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young to name a few.
The Dogwood Alliance has started the campaign 'Greening of the Music Industry' and was able to come out to Austin's famous SXSW festival to meet with music industry people to join up.
Making whole nations and peoples more environmentally aware and conscious AND participatory is and I believe will always be a monumental task. That is why to me it is heartening to see when groups of people decide to put their money where their mouth is.
For those musicians and bands who want to join, check out what you can do HERE.
